8/25/2023 0 Comments Shako drop diablo 2Quick to respond, Blizzard temporarily stopped allowing Uber Unique items to drop in-game. An item that was otherwise quite rare to drop due to its status as an Ultra-Rare Unique item, the rarest quality available in the game. Those who were aware of this unintended behavior naturally seized the chance to finally obtain the Shako. The update made a few adjustments to these specific loot sources, which unintentionally greatly increased the rate at which the Harlequin Crest helm dropped. Players quickly realized they could and easily farm the Shako by looking for Helltide Chests after Diablo 4’s update 1.0.4 went live. It’s a pretty big deal when one of its rarest items suddenly appears, especially when it’s something as sought-after as the infamous Shako helmet. With the start of Season 1 of Diablo 4 scheduled for July 20, the game is about to shed its rosy launch-window goggles and formally enter its live-service phase, which may make or break it for many players. The new Diablo game emphasizes its living economy and uncommon loot drops as a live-service hack ‘n’ slash, and obtaining extremely valuable loot easily could result in major issues down the road. The Harlequin Crest helmet appears to have dropped much more frequently from Helltide Chests since Diablo 4’s most recent update, 1.0.4, to the extent that Blizzard had to intervene again to completely stop the drop. I’d rather play a different game than sink low and exploit bugs or pretend like nothing is wrong with the 100+ exploited items being ignored by Blizzard. After a sudden rise in player farming, Blizzard quickly corrects its course in response to the sudden influx of Uber Unique items in Diablo 4. Nope, they felt they had a high chance of getting away with it because of Blizzard’s lack of will to crack down on cheating. ![]() If they knew Blizzard would revert the exploited items they would be less likely to exploit because they’d think “Blizzard is so good about enforcing their TOS/anti-cheat environment it is pointless to waste time going for these bugged items”. I think people’s behavior toward willingly exploiting (aka cheating per the TOS) is shameful but they are influenced by Blizzard ignoring exploits so its more excusable. I saw the streamers promoting the exploit saying stuff like “GET ON A BARB OR A SORC NOW AND OPEN ALL THE UNIQUE HELM CHESTS IN HELLTIDES. It was how blizzard chose to respond to it that was offending.ĭepends. The drop glitch and the people who got it are not offending. That will not happen, since they help generate money for Blizzard. Now updated for D2R patch 2. The exploiters who told others to exploit this, however, should be banned. This is the most accurate drop calculator available for both Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 Resurrected. I do not want to ban the players who got these, but the items should be removed from them. Other than the cheats they make themselves, obviously, since they won’t take any action against those who exploited this… “Exploit often, exploit early”. They ban - often without warning - people who use special software because of some medical reason, stating they “do not want cheats in our game”. It is also not right in the bigger picture, since Blizzard by not doing anything here since the exploit was discovered and broadcasted by (their) streamers who now have shown that the ToS is applied differently to some people than others. It is a bug that should be rolled back just like you give back money you receive to your account if the bank by mistake gives you money that is not yours. Offending? It’s not “offending” in the normal sense of the word. They could still do the right thing and delete them but I’ve decided to uninstall ahead of time because if they don’t I’d rather move on to games that take exploiting seriously. The bottom line is Blizzard botched a patch, generated over a hundred exploited uber uniques and refused to remove them permanently ruining balance between players. ![]() Personally seasons is just a hamster wheel for hamsters to me. Seasons 1 doesn’t fix the issue because seasons doesn’t affect Eternal Realm and seasons is always opt-in but not mandatory. It’s likely that influential streamers must have exploited the Shako and Blizzard is afraid to upset them by doing the right thing. This is violating their own TOS by ignoring cheating/exploiting. The Eternal Realm and any level playing field PvP it could have had is forever tainted by exploited godlike helmets that give +4 skills and 10-20% damage reduction (aka Shako = Harlequin Uber Unique).īlizzard said they knew who exploited it and how many, but would not take action to correct it.
